Rocket propulsion

Rocket engines designed by computation and proven by test.

Xentauri designs and manufactures aerospike rocket engines, using AI to accelerate design and validated computational tools to check it.

Flow lines around an aerospike nozzle

We use AI to accelerate how rocket engines are designed and manufactured, and every design is checked against test data before anything is built.

What we do

Design

AI-accelerated design

AI sets up and runs design studies, while physics-based tools solve combustion, contour and cooling together and are checked against experimental results.

Manufacture

Built by us

We manufacture the hardware we design, so predictions are tested on real engines and the results feed back into the tools.

Materials

ATOM SI

Our material prediction model helps choose the right material for any application.

Our approach

Why an aerospike

A bell nozzle is optimised for a single altitude. An aerospike adjusts to ambient pressure as the vehicle climbs, keeping efficiency high from sea level to vacuum.

Test data first

Every design begins with published test results, organised so each value keeps its source and conditions.

Validated before built

Tools are checked against experimental results, and predictions are written down before each test.

Roadmap

In progress

Evidence base

Building the dataset and setting the targets our design tools must meet.

Next

Design tools

Validated tools for combustion, contour, heat transfer and cooling.

Then

Hardware proof

A prototype engine, tested cold-flow and then hot-fired.

Later

Customers

Design and manufacturing services for small launch and in-space propulsion teams.

In development

Material prediction model

ATOM SI

A computational model that predicts the properties of materials, so the right material can be identified before anything is made or tested.

Talk to the team

Predict

Estimate the properties of a material from its composition, before anyone has made it.

Screen

Search large sets of candidate compositions against the requirements of an application.

Prioritise

Rank the candidates and hand the lab a short list worth testing.
